I love to see the world through a metaphorical measure, using conceptual platforms to enhance my own artistic world. I love the idea that my mind is my own planet, which I draw and take inspiration from - I am, at all times, developing my knowledge and creating new artistic characters that I bring into my work. I find my own language through film, painting, sculpture and photography. Growing up, I have had the privilege to experience a diverse array of cultures. Travelling the world with my family at a very young age, my eyes were opened to religion, myth and stories that I still, to this day, draw so much inspiration from. In my spare time, I enjoy learning about the history of spirituality and how it is carried into art today. No matter your belief, we all as humans desire connection and in any shape of form - art is what has brought us together. Being half Swedish, I draw a lot of inspiration from Nordic mythology, where symbolism is a fundamental narrative technique. Assembling my own heritage and bringing this forward into the fashion world has always been a dream of mine. Eternally, I am very aware of my personal style, compiling the intimate hobbies of my athletic background, my love for David Lynch and the fantasy realm into individual world-building. I have a deep connection with my colour palette that I bring forward into every creative outlet I can. I trained myself to understand the process of the greats, looking at the Renaissance as a thread to sew my skill into a contemporary fashion. When I moved to the UK from France at the age of 6, I won a young artist competition where we had to depict social issues in the UK. I studied fine art, photography and graphic design in Brighton, where I grew up. Following that, I did my foundation year at the MET, where I studied illustration as my chosen pathway. As a part of our foundation course, we had a project where we had to interpret the story of Hugo Grotius. As the winner, I had my piece shown as a part of BBC history. After this, I took a year out to further investigate my pathway as an artist, narrowing down whether I wanted to specialise in fine art or illustration. I am now studying at UAL and doing Fashion Imaging and Illustration, where I have found a fortunate middle ground to experiment with imaging as a whole. My current influences are always changing, but I do find the importance of music and fashion will always dominate my stimulation for creating. The gravity of music in my work is very strong as I am consistently acknowledging worldwide genre mixing and how art and music, when brought together, create a sacred significance.
